In the last year, the Journal of Population Economics has continued to grow. The Journal has welcomed several new editors, has continued to expand in its readership, and has continued to receive a large volume of high-quality submissions while maintaining a fast review process. In 2021 the Journal received almost 800 submissions, and through a combination of quick desk rejections for initial screenings and in-depth review by dedicated editors, authors had an average wait of 23 days for initial decisions.
